Just a reminder there is no school on Thursday, February 1st and Friday, February 2nd.
Can you believe that it is almost February? Wow!!!! We have a class list for Valentines in the folder. Please make sure that if you make Valentine cards you make them for the whole class. We added some other names of adults that help the students during their week at school (you do not have to make valentines for the adults but it would be nice).
Our sight word this week was ‘the’. Have your child tell you a sentence using the word ‘the’.
Students made a polar bear paw out of paper. It was challenging for them to tear the paw and the pads for the paw. They were amazed that the paper was the size of an actual polar bear’s paw.
We made math sentence snow globes, using blue and white snowflakes, to show equations equaling ten.
We are working on teen numbers. Please help your child review their teen numbers and practice writing what they look like. We have also talked about how they are one group of ten and so many ones. I am putting a link to the video we use to practice this skill.
