I hope you have a peaceful and enjoyable break with your family. Remember to have your child read over the break or you read to your child over the break so they can mark it on their Win With Reading sheets, which are in their red folders.
Please have your child practice writing their teen numbers over the break. Have them count items such as cheerios, toys, or other objects and then write how many they counted.
The students learned a new sight word this week ‘to’. Please have your child practice writing this word at home. Ask your child if they can use the word ‘to’ in a sentence.
Remember to practice writing and reading our sight words: a, I, like, my, to, see, we, and can. Also students should be working on counting as high as they can go. They need to be able to count to 100 by the end of the year. If your child has already accomplished this, have them count on, or practice counting by 10's and 5's. When they are counting, try to encourage them to figure out the next number by recounting what they have said (ex. they stop at 29, say 27, 28, 29 and see if they can continue.)
Classroom Happenings: Dialogue with your child
Important information:
Challenge work: Your child can do the challenge work if they would like. 1) Make a book explaining how to build a snowman.
Have as wonderful break and enjoy your time with your family.
