There is no school on Friday, November 3rd, Wednesday, November 8th, Thursday, November 9th, and Friday, November 10th.
We have been having an issue with students hitting, kicking, and pushing each other. We know students like to play around, but even play fighting can be too rough. It is very important that you remind your child that they need to keep their hands to themselves. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have been having a lot of reminders that kisses are for family, not for here at school. Please talk to your child about keeping hands, feet, and lips to themselves! ;-)
Our Halloween/Harvest party is on Tuesday, Oct. 31st. Remember students are not allowed to wear their costumes to school, but need to bring them in their backpacks to change into after lunch.
Students learned the word ‘see’. This is the second of many words that they will need to know by the end of kindergarten. Students shared a sentence using the word “see”.
We have been working on bat activities this week: Students created their own bat using geometric shapes. Students also worked on labeling the parts of a bat, making a bat hat, and we also did a bat poem with our color words.
Classroom Happenings: Dialogue with your child
Challenge homework: your child can do this if they would like. It is optional.
Have a fantastic weekend. Nayoko
