Kinder News

The year is going by fast and there are a lot of things that need to get done. We are trying to make sure we assess for the end of the year report cards. We are going to have a graduation for the kinders on Thursday, June 14th at 12:30 (more information to come). Finally, we are looking forward to our zoo field trip in June. Wow, and I know there is more.
It is very important that you ask your child to check their backpack every day. Papers will be coming home throughout the weeks telling of things that are going on at school or other important information that you need to know about the classroom.
If you are planning to chaperone for our field trip to the zoo, please make sure you have completed the district’s volunteer form online at www.hsd.k12.or.us. Plus, if you have not turned in your $4 for coming as a chaperone, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you!!!
Well, our chicks and ducks went back to the farm. They were getting big and needed to go back to the farm. The students were sad to see them go, but the babies are happily exploring their new home!
Please remind your child that it is important to do their best work. It is also important for them to listen and follow directions the first time given.
If you are interested in providing input in your child’s placement for next year, the forms are in the office. The forms are due May 4th. They will not be accepted after May 4th. Requests for specific teachers will not be accepted, but needs of students will be considered.
Classroom Happenings: Dialogue with your child
Important information:
Challenge Work: Optional: 1) Write some ideas down of how you could help keep the earth green. 2) A baby squirrel needs to eat every two hours. How many times will it eat in 12 hours?
Have an amazing weekend. Nayoko
