We are all working on sitting on the carpet quietly and working at our tables quietly. Please remind your child why this is important to do. We have had a lot of blurts (students who talk out with out raising their hands and waiting to be called on). Thank you for your help and support.
This week has been a crazy week with 100th day activities. Thank you to all the families that had their child dress up for 100th day. They looked great. We took the students pictures this week and used an app to make them look older. They wrote about what they would look like or do when they were 100 years old. These pictures are hanging in the hallway.
The students learned a new word this week ‘for’. Practice spelling this word with your child and putting this word into a sentence. How many different sentences can you think of using the word ‘for’?
Next week we are going to receive some duck eggs for our classroom. We are going to keep an eye on these eggs and hopefully most of them will hatch in 28 days. The following week we will be getting chick eggs. The eggs will be in an incubator. Please remind your child that it is important that they do not touch the incubator. We need the eggs to stay safe so the ducklings and chicks can hatch.
Classroom Happenings: Dialogue with your child
Important information:
Challenge Work: Optional: 1) Make a book about what you think will happen in the incubator. 2) How many two letter words can you think of? Write them down.
Have a fantastic weekend. Nayoko
