May 24th is the Lenox Celebration of Learning night. It begins at 5:30 and goes until 7:30. This is an open house type night. You can come and go between those hours.
We have caterpillars in our classroom. We are watching them grow and can’t wait until they become butterflies. There are four stages of a butterfly. Can you name them?
We are planning on having our kinder graduation on Thursday, June 14th at 12:30 in the gym. This is the day before the last day of school for kindergarteners. We hope that you can come and join us for this fabulous celebration.
We would like to thank all of you for the good thoughts, flowers, and treats that you gave us during teacher appreciation week. We love our job and we are proud of the accomplishments the students have made.
Our new word this week is ‘are’. Please have your child practice reading and writing this word. Thank you!
Please remind your child that it is very important to follow directions and be respectful listeners. We are working on not shouting out. We are working on raising our hands when we want to share information. Please practice at home what it looks like. As the year comes closer to an end these are areas that we remind the students about a lot. Thank you!!!
Classroom Happenings: Dialogue with your child
Important information:
Challenge Work: optional 1) What do you like most about school? Write a sentence or story about it. 2) There are five apples in a tree. I saw two more apples in the tree. Four apples then fell out of the tree. How many apples are left in the tree? Draw a picture to show your answer. Can you write a number sentence to go with your picture?
Have an amazing weekend. Nayoko
